I was trying to think what is my favorite thing about summer? I think it is the valuable time I have where we aren't having to rush from event to event for my kids. I like to just let them play with the hose honestly, no one has power like the one who controls the water hose!

Additionally, I enjoy teaching my kids some of the lessons that go on the wayside during the school year. We homeschool and we are never lacking in lessons to learn or cover, however during summer I like to work a little more on life skills. Life skills is something I am highly passionate about any season.

I really believe that one of our greatest struggles with our kids come down to focusing more on academics than life skills.
